Karyn Gentile '90 begins her 28th overall year at Baldwin Wallace Univetsity and her 19th as the Director of the Athletic Training Program at Baldwin Wallace University in 2022-23.
She advises students majoring in athletic training and coordinates their clinical experiences, both on-campus as well as at various off-campus affiliated sites. Courses taught by Gentile are primarily within the athletic training curriculum, such as principles of athletic training, therapeutic modalities, emergency care and the athletic training practicum courses.
Gentile serves as the faculty advisor of the BW student organization Collegiate Organization of Athletic Student Trainers (COAST) and BW’s chapter of Iota Tau Alpha, an athletic training education program honor society. The COAST organization sponsors guest speakers and provides opportunities for students to travel to state, district and national conventions. Gentile also serves as a facilitator for ACES, a preparatory workshop designed to help prepare students for the national board of certification exam.
Prior to returning to her alma mater, Gentile served as an assistant athletic trainer at Syracuse (N.Y.)
