WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country teams started its new era with an impressive showing at the 2015 season opening unscored College of Wooster Invitational at the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.
BW was led by freshman Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) and sophomore Maeve Christie (Lakewood) as both finished in the top 10 of 25 runners in the 4K race. Brennan placed ninth in her first collegiate race with a time of 17:56.6. Christie was right behind her, as she took 10th in a time of 17:56.9.
In addition to Brennan and Christie, the Yellow Jackets had five other runners finish in the top 20. Freshman Hannah Fredriksen (Hamburg, N.Y.) was 12th in 18:25.1, sophomore Hannah Kiraly (Lakewood) was 18th in 19:19.0 and freshman Alexis Hercenberg (Johnstown / Johnstown-Monroe) was 19th in 19:51.5.

BW is back in action this Saturday, September 5 when it travels to Delaware to compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational at 11:15 a.m.
