Brennan and Christie Earn All-Ohio Honors to Lead Women's Cross Country

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Freshman Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) and sophomore Maeve Christie (Lakewood) earned All-Ohio honors to lead the Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team to a 12th place finish at the All-Ohio Division III Championships hosted by Cedarville University on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.

The Yellow Jacket were 12 of 18 teams with 326 points.  The top 35 runners in the race earn All-Ohio honors.

Brennan finished in fifth place with a time of 22:31.55 and Christie placed 33rd with a time of 23:34.56

In addition, freshman Hannah Fredriksen (Hamburg, N.Y.) finished 81st with a time of 24:30.00.  Sophomore Hannah Kiraly (Lakewood) placed 167th with a time of 26:05.96.  Freshman Alexis Hercenberg (Johnstown/Johnstown-Monroe) finished 217th with a time of 27:37.07.
 
BW is back in action on Saturday, October 17 when it travels to nearby Oberlin to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College at 11 a.m.

The 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by BW will be contested on Saturday, October 31 at Wallace Lake in the Mill Stream Run Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks at 11 a.m.
