Murphy Receives Second OAC Track Athlete of the Week Honors

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - For the second time this season and the third time in her track and field career, sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) has been named OAC track athlete of the week.

Murphy won the 1500-meter run this past weekend at the Tiffin Track Carnival hosted by Heidelberg University in 4:33.33, breaking her personal record. She placed second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:16.70. She is currently ranked first in the OAC not only for her 1500-meter run but also her 800-meter run. Murphy is ranked 5th nationally for her 1500-meter performance and 38th nationally for her 800-meter performance. 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, April 23rd when it hosts the 52nd Sparky Adams Invitational inside George Finnie Stadium.
