Hope Murphy and Alyssa Laughner

COLUMBUS - Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) and senior All-American Alyssa Laughner (Howard, Pa./Central Mountain) of Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field team competed at the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by The Ohio State University inside Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
- Murphy placed 12th in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:31.02, breaking a 12-year old school record last held by D'Arcy Hlavin '10 in 2010 with a time of 4:32.61.
- Laughner placed seventh in the 5000-meter run in a PR best time of 17:29.07, fourth best performance in school history.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on tomorrow Saturday, April 23rd when it hosts the 52nd Sparky Adams Invitational inside George Finnie Stadium.
