BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) broke her own school record as the Yellow Jackets hosted the unscored Harrison Dillard Twilight meet inside George Finnie Stadium.

Brennan placed second in the 800-meter run behind an athlete from NCAA Division II Walsh University and broke her own school record in the process. The sophomore ran a career-best time of 2:10.05, improving on the previous record by almost 2 full seconds. Brennan's school record time also lands her fourth nationally before other meets this weekend.

In other women's running events, junior All-OAC sprinter Grace Nemeth (Medina) posted times of 12.77 and 12.88 seconds in the 100-meter dash preliminaries and finals, respectively. Nemeth also finished eighth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.17 seconds. Sophomore distance runner Katie Fowler (Mount Vernon) ran a time of 2:24.62 to finish 15th in the 800. In the 1,500-meter run, Brennan placed fourth in a time of 4:54.37 while freshman distance runner Madison Kile (North Canton/Hoover) was not far behind in 4:54.69 for a fifth place finish. In the final race of the night, the 10,000-meter run, sophomore All-OAC distance runner Bella Pendola (Warsaw/River View) had the third-fastest women's time as she set a career best in 37:31.84.

Out in the field, sophomore All-OAC thrower Jillian Roberts (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) had a career-best mark as she finished third in the shot put with a toss of 43 feet, 9 inches while fellow sophomore All-OAC thrower Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) finished fifth in the same event with a mark of 41'0.25". Senior thrower Madeline Ziccardi (Cuyahoga Falls) and Buckhannon placed ninth and 10th in the hammer throw, respectively, by hitting marks of 147'9" and 145'8", respectively. Senior thrower Madison Phillips (Norwalk/St. Paul) threw 93'4" in the javelin to finish 12th.
