Yellow Jackets Outdoor Women's Tracksters Open Season at Coastal Carolina

CONWAY, South Carolina – The Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field team opened the 2015 season at the annual Coastal Carolina Invitational Meet. The meet is ladden with NCAA Division I and II competitors and is unscored.

The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Erin Kasper (Amherst/ Marion L. Steele) as she placed second in the high jump with a leap of four-feet and 11-inches (4'11") and seventh in the long jump at 15'10.5". Sophomore Katie Richter (Canfield) was fourth in the 200-meter dash in 27.29 seconds, junior Cheryl Bell (Piqua) was sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.43, sophomore Rachel Holowecky (Amherst/ Firelands) was seventh in the high jump at 4'9" and ninth in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.69 seconds; and senior Dusica Vasic (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was ninth in the 10,000-meter run in 43:10.65.

BW is back in action on Thursday through Saturday, March 19-21 when the Yellow Jackets travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to compete at the annual UNC Charlottle 49er Invitational Meet.
