CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – The Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field team competed at the 2015 UNC Charlotte 49er Classic. The unscored meet was the second of the outdoor season and is ladden with NCAA Division I and II competitors.
 
The women were led by junior Division III All-American Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township/ Kenston) who won the discus throw with a throw of 147'5", placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 42'1.25" and placed 10th in the hammer throw with a toss of 151'4". Her throw in the discus is the best in Div. III so far this season, her toss in the shot put ranks third and her throw in the hammer ranks fifth.

In addition, junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Maggie Urban (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) was seventh in the hammer with a throw of 157'10, which ranks third in Division III this spring, and sophomore Kasey Clouse (Norwalk/ Western Reserve) was fifth in the discus with a throw of 132'0" to rank sixth in Div. III so far. Also, freshman Erin Kasper (Amherst/ Steele) was fifth in the high jump with a leap of 5'2.25", which ranks as a tie fourth in Div. III this spring.
 
BW is back in action next Saturday, March 28 when the Yellow Jackets travel to Marietta, Ohio and Marietta College to compete at the Don Frail Invitational Meet. Field events begin at 1 pm.
