Women's Tennis 2022-23 Season Outlook

BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team under the direction of fifth-year head coach Dean Morse '03 are ready to hit the courts for the 2022-23 season. 

Coach Morse returns seven letterwinners, one All-Ohio Athletic Conference player, and three Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selections from last year's squad. The team will feature one seniors, three juniors, and three sophomores.

Highlighting the returners are junior All-OAC Gabriela Heideman (Doylestown / Wadsworth) and sophomore Hanna LeMaster (Avon). Heideman, who was a second-team All-OAC selection last season, lead the team in both singles (9-8) and doubles (13-7). LeMaster went 8-7 in singles action and posted a 4-12 record in doubles action. 

Meanwhile, senior Academic All-OAC selection Lizzy Cole (Shaker Heights), juniors Academic All-OAC selection Juliet Penrod (Macedonia / Nordonia), Academic All-OAC selection Kierstyn Yates (Grafton / Midview), sophomores Mattie Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.), and Emma Trost (Norwalk) look to move up in the OAC standings and have an impact of the courts .

BW opens the fall portion of its schedule at home on the Pop Collins Tennis Court when it hosts a non-conference match against Franciscan University on September 10.
