Women’s Tennis Falls to Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team fell to non-conference opponent The College of Wooster by a final score of 8-1 on the D.J. Hard Tennis Courts. 

The No. 1 doubles group of senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and sophomore All-OAC Gabriela Heideman (Doylestown/Wadsworth) pulled off the lone victory for BW (0-3) by a mark of 8-6.

In singles, sophomore Kierstyn Yates (Grafton/Midview) nearly pulled off a victory in the three sets by scores of 6-1, 1-6, and 1-0 (10-7). Heideman came up just short in No. 2 as she fell by scores of 6-4, 6-2.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action in action on Friday, September 24 when they travel to Kalamazoo, Mich. for the weekend ITA Central Region Championships at Kalamazoo College.
