BW Women’s Tennis Team Loses to Mount Union in Berea

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team lost to Ohio Athletic Conference rival the University of Mount Union on the "Pop" Collins Courts.

The Purple Raiders (12-5, 6-2 OAC) won all three doubles and all six singles matches against the Yellow Jackets (5-15, 4-3 OAC).

In doubls play, the No.1 duo of junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC standout Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) and Mackenzie Donalson (Hilliard/ Davidson) and the No.2 tandem of sophomore Claire Watts (Medina) and Mackenzi Baker (Vermilion/ Elyria Catholic) each lost hard-fought, 8-5 decisions. In singles play, Donalson at No.3 lost by a 6-3 and 6-3 count and freshman No.4 player Shannon Finkenthal (Beachwood) lost 6-3 and 6-2.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Monday, April 20 when BW hosts The College of Wooster in a non-conference and rescheduled match at the Collins Courts at 3:30 p.m. BW plays its final OAC regular season match on Friday, April
