Women's Swimming and Diving Concludes Season in Fourth Place at OAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio -  The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team finished the final day at the OAC Championships hosted by Mount Union at University of Akron inside Ocasek Natatorium. The women's team finished in fourth with 433 points. John Carroll takes home the win with 950 points. 

The Yellow Jackets individual highlights included:

  • Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Bella Ratino wins the 1650 yard freestyle in a time of 18:16.15.
    • This is Ratino's 11th career All-OAC honors. 
  • Freshman All-OAC Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) wins 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:09.80.
    • This is Dondorfer's third All-OAC honors in the OAC Championships
  • Sophomore Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) places second in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:25.96.
    • This is Reed's second career All-Ohio honors.
  • Junior Aubrey Syron (Dayton/Archbishop Alter) placed fifth in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:25.02.
  • Junior All-OAC performer Julia Newbould (Strongsville) placed eighth in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 55.42 seconds.
