Women's Swimming and Diving ​Falls Against Cross-Town Rival John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH., – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving teams was defeated by OAC and cross-town rival, John Carroll University, inside the William H. Johnston Natatorium.

BW lost by a score of 155-82.

Leading the women today was senior, Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) placing first in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:23.51, and in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:04.35. Sophomore, Jordyn Miller (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) placing first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a final wall touch of 11:36.28, and second in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:39.73.

Also swimming strongly for the Yellow Jackets was freshman, Sarah Krupp (Williamsville NY. /Williamsville South) placing second in the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 5:04.30, and third in the 200-yard butterfly with a final wall touch of  2:24.17. Freshman, Claire Onchuck (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) placing second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.98 seconds, and finishing third in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:00.37.

Placing first in diving today was senior, Maddie Fortune (Akron/Firestone), with a season's best score of 207.00.

BW returns to action on Saturday Jan. 30 when they travel to Cleveland, Ohio for a meet against cross-town rival, Case Western Reserve University, inside the Veale Natatorium at 1 p.m.​​
