BEREA, Ohio – Under the direction of sixth-year head coach Jim Wojtkun, the Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team has released the 2022 schedule with the opening date set for September 2.
BW kicks off the season with the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament hosted by Penn St. – Behrend in Erie, Pa. The Yellow Jackets open up the tournament facing Fredonia (N.Y.) University on the September 2. The play their final game of the tournament the following day against Penn St. – Behrend.
BW will play one more road non-conference game against Oberlin College on September 7 before they return home. The home opener will be on September 9 against Case Western Reserve University. The homestand will continue with a game against Geneva (Pa.) College.
BW finishes the non-conference portion of the schedule with three games on the road against Waynesburg (pa.) College, Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) University and The College of Wooster. They host one final non-conference game against Adrian (Mich.) College.
Ohio Athletic Conference play begins on October 1 with a road game against Marietta College. The home portion of the OAC schedule begins on October 5 against the University of Mount Union.
The Yellow Jackets will host OAC games against John Carroll University, Muskingum University and Otterbein University. The OAC road contests will be against Wilmington College, Heidelberg University, Ohio Northern University and Capital University.
BW finished the 2021 fall season with a record of 11-10 and a 5-5 mark in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets made their ninth straight OAC Tournament and made it to the semifinals.
