BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer fell to the University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of x-x on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
BW Leaders (5-6, 0-2 OAC)
- Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) led with four saves.
Mount Union Leaders (4-2-3, 1-1 OAC)
- Senior forward Olivia McLean led with two goals scored.
- Sophomore All-OAC defender Logan Godfrey led with one assist.
- Freshman forward Madeline Boulos also added an assist.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Rylee Oldfield led with four saves.
First Half (3-0, Mount Union)
- McLean got the scoring started with an unassisted goal off a rebound.
- McLean scored the second goal of the game in the 21st minute.
- Freshman midfielder Bailey scored the last goal of the game off a corner kick from Godfrey.
- Mount Union led the half with 10 shots. BW had six shots
- The Yellow Jackets led the half with two corner kick opportunities.
- Both teams registered one save.
Second Half (6-0, Mount Union)
- Junior midfielder Kaela Turle scored an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute.
- Senior All-OAC forward Andrea Decker scored an unassisted goal in the 59th minute.
- Junior forward Emily Beach scored the last goal of the game off an assist from Boulos.
- The Purple Raiders led the half with 11 shots.
- Mount led the half with two corner kick opportunities.
- BW led with six saves in the half.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, October 8 when they travel to Wilmington to take on Wilmington College in an OAC match that begins at 7:00 p.m. on the Townsend Field inside Williams Stadium.
