Goalie Tallmadge is OAC Player of Week for Third Time in Career

BEREA, Ohio --  Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) is this week's OAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the third time in her career.

Last week, Tallmadge allowed just one goal in two games as the Yellow Jackets stretched their winning streak to three straight with victories against Grove City, Pa. College (2-0) and Muskingum University (3-1).  Tallmadge had her 26th career shutout, two shy of the BW all-time record, and four saves.
 
Tallmadge previously earned OAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week once as a freshman in 2012 and once last season.
 
Tallmadge, who also earned third-team All-Ohio honors a year ago, has led the Yellow Jackets to a 7-3-2 overall and 1-0 OAC record this season and a 44-20-10 mark during her four seasons. This season, she is allowing 1.02 goals-per-game, has an .824 save percentage and 56 saves to go with three individual and two more combined shutouts. For her career, Tallmadge has a 1.01 GAA, .806 save percentage, 298 saves and has played in 26 total shutouts.
 
In addition to being an outstanding soccer student-athlete, Tallmadge also carries a 3.64 grade point average in chemistry, is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection and earned second-team Academic All-Ohio honors a year ago. She also received the Freshman Chemistry Award at Honors Day in 2013.

The Yellow Jacket women are back in action on Wednesday, OctOBER 7 when they host Heidelberg University in an OAC game on Tressel Field at The George Finnie Stadium at 7 p.m. BW also hosts Marietta College at Finnie Stadium this Saturday, October 10 at 7 p.m.
