GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team was defeated by Denison University, 2-0, Sunday afternoon on Barclay Thomsen Field.
In the first half Denison (5-0) controlled the tempo of the game and took the lead in the 16th minute when Jessica Skelly headed a ball past the Yellow Jackets (3-1-2) goalkeeper.
Denison put the game out of reach when Jacquie Graham found the back of the net at the 59:38 mark.
All-Ohio Athletic Conference and All-OAC Academic senior goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) made nine saves for BW.
The Yellow Jackets have their home opener Wednesday, September 16 when they host cross-town rival Case Western Reserve University in a non-conference game on Tressel Field inside of Finne Stadium at 7 p.m.
