Bleich Garners Fourth Career OAC Wrestler of the Week

WESTERVILLE, Ohio—Baldwin Wallace University senior All-American 157-pounder Stanley Bleich (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the fourth time in his career.

Bleich earns the weekly accolade after going a perfect 4-0 to capture the 157-pound title and leading the No. 5 nationally-ranked Yellow Jackets to the team title at the 35th John Summa Invitational.  He opened the invitational with a 7-3 decision victory over Teagan Hendricks of Ohio Northern University.  Bleich then posted a 5-1 decision victory over Max Yahre of The College of Brockport (N.Y.) and a 10-6 decision victory over freshman Tommy West (Avon Lake/St. Edward) in the third round.  Bleich won the championship with a 12-5 victory over Shaun Wagner of Ohio Northern.

With his fourth victory, Bleich became the school's all-time wins leader with 130 victories.

This season, he has a record of 25-6 with four major decisions, two technical falls and one pinfall.

For his career, Bleich has a record of 130-26 with 35 major decisions, 10 pinfalls and four technical falls.

BW is back in action on Tuesday, February 8 when it travels to Tiffin for an OAC match against Heidelberg University inside Seiberling Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
