UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The No. 5 nationally-ranked Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team closed out the regular season portion of its schedule as it competed at the unscored John Carroll University Open inside the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.
BW had six wrestlers place in the top four.
Freshman 141-pounder Max Miller (Cleveland/North Royalton) – Champion
- Won a 10-6 decision over Americo Milani of John Carroll in the first round
- Won a 7-1 decision over Reese Vollmer of Gannon (Pa.) in the second round
- Won a 9-4 decision over Anthony Corgliano of Gannon (Pa.) in the third round
- Won by a medical forfeit
Freshman 285-pounder Ben DeGuzman (North Canton/Hoover) – Second Place
- Won an 11-0 major decision over Brayden Butzin of Ashland in the first round
- Won by pinfall in 4:47 over Drew Harris of Ohio in the second round

125-pounder David Panda (Columbia, Md./Atholton) – Third Place
- Won a 9-4 decision over Daniel Adams of Cleveland State in the first round

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday and Saturday, February 25 and 26 when they travel to Adrian, Michigan to compete in the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships hosted by Adrian College in the Merillat Sports & Fitness Center.
The NCAA Division III Championships will be contested on Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
