Arroyo Earns Seventh Career OAC Wrestler of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the seventh time in his career, senior two-time All-American Anthony Arroyo (Maumee) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week.

Arroyo had a perfect weekend as the Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team hosted Muskingum University, Otterbein University, and Heidelberg University for OAC Duals. Claiming a pin against his bout against Muskingum, he then followed that with two pins over his Otterbein and Heidelberg opponents with times of 1:10 and 2:34, respectively.

Arroyo's career has been stellar and with this honor, he adds to a third and fifth place finish in the Division lll National Tournament, OAC John Summa Wrestler of the Year in 2017-18, three first-team All-OAC selections, and an All-Central Regional selection.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action this weekend in the Pete Wilson Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College on Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26. Matches are set to begin at 11 a.m.
