BEREA, Ohio- Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference 133-pounder Dante Ginnetti (Poland/Seminary) was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 At-Large Team.

Ginnetti and the rest of the first-team Academic All-District At-Large nominees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Ballot, with the results being revealed in June.

The accounting and finance double-major carries a 3.98 grade point average, is a Dean's List student, is a Jacket Scholar, received the BW Academic Excellence Award for highest grade point average on the squad and is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. In 2017-2018, he received Academic All-OAC honors as well as being named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team.

During his sophomore campaign, Ginnetti was a NCAA Division III National Championships qualifier and had a 1-2 mark at nationals, as well as earning an All-NCAA Division III Central Region selection at 133-pounds with a third place finish. The first-team All-OAC selection led the team with a career-high 18 pins and tied for the team lead with a career-best 36 wins. He tallied five major decision and a career-high four technical falls.  The sophomore was named OAC Wrestler of the Week on December 18.

In his two years in Berea, Ginnetti has complied an overall record of 60-20 and has recorded 30 pins along with five technical falls.

In 2017-2018, BW won its third straight and ninth overall OAC championship, registering an overall mark of 19-2 and a 6-0 mark in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets won the NCAA Central Regional Championship, advancing nine wrestlers to Nationals. At the NCAA Championships in March, BW finished 15th overall, with two student-athletes earning All-American Honors.
