BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University and defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion wrestling team under the direction of sixth-year Head Coach Jaime Gibbs opens the 2016-17 season on Thursday, November 10 when it travels to Adrian, Michigan for a non-conference dual match against Adrian College inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center at 7 p.m.
The six duals are headlined by the Gator Boots Duals on December 17 and the NWCA National Duals on January 5-6. BW will also compete in the Waynesburg (Pa.) University Duals on December 10, the Mel Berry Duals hosted by Thiel (Pa.) College on January 20 and the Heidelberg University Duals on February 19.
The Yellow Jackets wrestle one other non-conference dual match when they host NAIA Lourdes University on Tuesday, November 29 in the Ursprung Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
BW opens OAC competition on Friday, January 13 when it travels to University Heights to square off against cross-town rival John Carroll University. The first home OAC match is on Tuesday, January 31 against Muskingum University in the Ursprung Gym at 7:30 p.m.
The NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Manchester (Ind.) University will be held on February 24-25. The NCAA Championships hosted the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse will be contested on March 10-11.
