Wrestling Jumps to No. 9 in Latest NWCA Poll

BEREA, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team jumped six spots to No. 9 in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III poll released on Wednesday.

BW (14-3) went 4-1 and finished fifth at the NWCA National Duals last week with victories over national-ranked opponents New York University, Coe (Iowa) College and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Yellow Jackets only loss was against No. 1-nationally ranked and defending NCAA Division III national champion Wartburg (Iowa) College.

In the polls, Wartburg remains in first, Augsburg (Minn.) College moves into second and Johnson & Wales (R.I.) University jumped three spots to third.

BW is back in action tonight and opens Ohio Athletic Conference competition when it travels to University Heights to face cross-town rival John Carroll University in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center at 7 p.m.
