BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University Division III All-American 174-pounder Garrett Chase (Erie, Pa./ Cathedral Prep) is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the third time in his career.
Chase, who is ranked No. 8 in Div. III, had a perfect 4-0 record, including a win versus one nationally-ranked opponent, at the NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He twice won the OAC Wrestler of the Week award as a junior in 2014-2015.
Chase, now 14-3 this season (all losses to wrestlers ranked ahead of him) and 110-33 in his career, had three wins by decision, including one versus No.9-ranked Dan Ressler of No.4-ranked Roger Williams (R.I.), and a victory by technical fall.

A year ago, Chase earned Division III All-America honors with a seventh place finish at 174 pounds.
Chase and the Yellow Jackets are idle until Tuesday, January 19 when they travel to University Heights, Ohio to face Ohio Athletic Conference and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center at 7:30 p.m.
