BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College wrestling team was defeated by No. 16-ranked (National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) national poll the University of Mount Union, 44-9, tonight (Thursday, February 16, 2012) in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual match in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
With the loss, the Yellow Jackets end the regular season with a 1-6 overall and 0-5 OAC record. The Purple Raiders improve to 4-4 overall and 4-1 in the OAC.
B-W was led by junior 184-pounder Joe Georgian (Eastlake/ Villa Angela-St. Joseph) who won his match by a 3-1 decision. In addition, 125-pounder Jeremy Dombrady (Copley) won his match by forfeit.
The Yellow Jackets will compete in the OAC Championships on Saturday, February 25 at Heidelberg University. Action is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m.
