Wrestlers Finish Sixth at 2010 OAC Tournament

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team placed sixth at the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Tournament today (Saturday, February 20) at Mount Union College in the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex in Alliance.  

Heidelberg was the team champion with 101 points and the Yellow Jackets finished sixth with 22 points.

Leading the way for BW were junior 174-pounder Andrew Scavuzzo (Cuyahoga Falls/ Woodridge) and junior 197-pounder Tristan Stoll (Milan/ Edison), who each placed third and earned All-OAC status, and junior 165-pounder Korey Leonhard (Kinsman/ Pymatuning Valley), who placed fourth.  

Stoll finished 3-1 with three pins and finished his season at 20-4 overall with a team-leading 13 pins.Scavuzzo, who was the 2009 OAC champ at 174 pounds and represented the OAC at the NCAA Division III National Tournament a year ago, was 2-1 and ended his campaign at 17-5 overall. Leonhard had a 2-2 slate at the OAC tourney and finished at 17-12.
