Women's Lacrosse Salutes Five Senior Student-Athletes

BEREA, Ohio –  The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department and women's lacrosse program would like to congratulate senior student-athletes Ashleigh Hildreth, Alexis O'Neill, Cassidy Prather, Maddie Ray and Christina Roskoph on completing their outstanding athletic careers at the University.

While the NCAA has extended another year of eligibility, it is uncertain if each of these student-athlete will come back for another season or continue down their career path.  So, the University administration, faculty and staff congratulates these five young women on their outstanding athletic and academic careers as well as their leadership to the women's lacrosse program. The University would like to wish each of them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and hope that even after graduation that they come back and visit us often. They will always be a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L).

 

 

Hildreth is a health and physical education major from North Tonawanda, New York and a graduate of Sweet Home High School. She is an All-Ohio Athletic Conference goalkeeper that will earn her third varsity letter this spring. This season, Hildreth appeared and started in all 14 games and was tied for the OAC lead in saves with 157. She also set the school-record for saves in a game with 19 against Otterbein on March 27. For her career, Hildreth appeared and started in 53 games and is the school-record holder in most goalie categories. She has won 18 career games and has tallied 500 saves in 3086:12 minutes played. Hildreth is the daughter of Chris and Leigh-Ann Hildreth.

 

  

 

 

O'Neill is an athletic training major from Westlake, Ohio and a graduate of Westlake High School. She is an attacker that will earn her third varsity letter this spring. This season, O'Neill appeared in eight games with seven starts and scored 11 goals and added one assist for 11 points. She also tallied nine ground balls and one draw control. For her career, O'Neill appeared in 35 games with 18 starts.  She scored 40 goals and added eight assist for 48 points with 47 ground balls and eight draw controls. O'Neill is the daughter of Victor and Kim Garcia.

 

  

 

 

 

Prather is a sport management major from Penn Yan, New York and a graduate of Penn Yan Academy.  She is a defender that will earn her third varsity letter this spring. This season, Prather appeared and started in eight games and has 12 ground balls, caused seven turnovers and has one draw control.  For her career, Prather appeared in 47 games with 45 starts.  She has scored two goals, recorded 69 ground balls, caused 43 turnovers and had two draw controls. Prather is the daughter of Keith and Sally Prather.

 

 

 

 

 

Ray is a biology major from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and a graduate of Richfield Revere High School. She is a midfielder that will earn her second varsity letter this spring. This season, Ray appeared and started in all 14 games. She led the team in goals with 35 and assists with 12 for a career-best 47 points.  Ray was second on the team in draw controls with 27 and also notched career-bests in ground balls with 18 and caused turnovers with eight. For her career, Ray appeared in 37 games with 36 starts after  transferring from NCAA Division I St. Francis (Pa.) University.  She scored 88 goals and added 20 assists for 108 points with 45 draw controls, 39 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. Ray is the daughter of Nathan Ray and Laurie Lasko.

 

 

 

 

Roskoph is a sport management and marketing double major from Strongsville, Ohio and a graduate of Strongsville High School. She is a defender that will earn her third varsity letter this spring. This season, Roskoph appeared and started in all 14 games and has recorded a career-best 27 ground balls, caused eight turnovers and had two draw controls.  For her career, Roskoph appeared in 52 games with 48 starts and scored 13 goals and added three assists for 16 points with 67 ground balls, caused 29 turnovers and has five draw controls. Off the field, she is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. Roskoph is the daughter of Richard and Bernadette Roskoph.
