Women's Golf Placed Sixth at Heidelberg Fall Invitational

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed sixth at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational at Mohawk Golf & Country Club. 

BW finished sixth out of eight teams with a two day total of 709 strokes on the par 72 and 6,421 Mohawk Golf & Country Club. Ohio Nothern University took first place with 629 strokes.

The top five leading BW:

  • Sophomore Brooke Newsome (Clyde) placed 15th and carded rounds of 84 and 86 for a total of 170.
  • Sophomore Halle Kalaman (Tallmadge / Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) tied 21st and tallied rounds of 89 for a total of 178.
  • Freshman Alana Smith (Fremont / Ross) tied 21st and posted rounds of 93 and 85 for a total of 178.
  • Sophomore Lauren Neher (Norwalk / Edison) finsihed 29th and carded rounds of 88 and 95 for a total of 183.
  • Junior Academic All-OAC selection Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk/St. Paul) tied 49th and posted rounds of 111 and 97 for a total of 208.

Playing as individuals:

  • Freshman Hannah Ogden (Poland/Poland Seminary) placed 40th and tallied rounds of 117 and 87 for a total of 204.
  • Sophomore  Steph Neff (Seven Hills / Padua Franciscan) placed 48th and posted rounds of 117 and 87 for a total of 204.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, September 24th when they travel to Huron to compete at Terra State Community College Fall Match Play at the Sawmill Creek Golf Club.
