Women’s Golf Finishes in Fifth Place at OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio -The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team wrapped up its 2022 season with a fifth-place finish at the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course. 

BW finished fifth of nine teams with 1,103 strokes on the par-73 and 5,811-yard River Greens layout. Otterbein University was the champion with 974 strokes.

The top five leading BW:

  • Freshman Lauren Neher (Norwalk / Edison) placed 19th and shot a rounds of 96, 89 and 88 for a three day total of 273.
  • Senior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville / Central) tied for 20th and tallied rounds of 88, 101 and 90 for a total of 279.
  • Senior Leah Metzger (Ashland) placed for 22nd and carding rounds of 92, 96 and 92 for a total of 280.
  • Freshman Brooke Newsome (Clyde) placed 25th and carding rounds of 93,97 and 92 for a total of 282.
  • Sophomore Morgan Briley (Brunswick) tied for 26th and shot rounda of 95, 96 and 92 for a three day total of 283.
