JEROMESVILLE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed 11th at the rain shortened College of Wooster Spring Invitational at the Mohican Hills Golf Club.
The invitational was originally scheduled for a two-day event but Sunday's final round was washed out.
BW was 11th of 12 teams with 377 strokes on the par-72 and 5,803 Mohican Hills layout. Denison University was the champion with 326 strokes.
The Yellow Jackets were led junior Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) as she fired a round of 85. Sophomore Emily Hunt (Marysville) carded a round of 87. Freshman Maria Simon (Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA/Santa Cruz Cooperative School) tallied a round of 102. Freshman Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) shot a round of 103. Rounding out the top five was graduate student Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) with a round of 104.
Playing as an individual, sophomore Hannah Durst (Madison) had a round of 105.
BW is back in action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 20-22 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.
