Women’s Golf Falls to Trine (Ind.) in Florida Trip Finale

AVON PARK, Fla. -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team closed out its Spring Break trip to the Sunshine State as it fell to Trine (Ind.) University in a dual match at the River Greens Golf Course. 

BW fired a round of 419 on the par-72 and 5,831-yard River Greens layout.  Trine carded a score of 387 to win the dual match.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) as she fired a round of 100 to place fourth.  Sophomore Hannah Durst (Madison) posted a round of 102 to finish tied for fifth.  Graduate student Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) tallied a round of 105 to tie for seventh.  Sophomore Emily Hunt (Marysville) finished with a round of 112.   Rounding out the top five was freshman Maria Simon (Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA/Santa Cruz Cooperative School) had a round of 116.

Playing as individuals were freshmen Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) and Aubrey Baumler (Huron) as they had rounds of 112 and 135, respectively.

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25 when it travels to Alliance to compete in the University of Mount Union University Spring Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
