Women’s Golf Competes Against Thomas More (Ky.) on Florida Spring Trip

HAINES CITY, Fla. -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule as it competed against Thomas More (Ky.) College in an unscored match on the Grenelefe Golf and Tennis Resort.

BW finished with a score of 419. Thomas More, who only had three individuals compete, did not have the required four golfers for a team score. 

The Yellow Jackets were led by graduate student Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) and junior Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) as the duo finished tied for second with rounds of 101 each.  Sophomore Hannah Durst (Madison) shot a round of 108 to finish fourth.  Sophomore Emily Hunt (Marysville) carded a round of 109 to place fifth.   Rounding out the top five was freshman Maria Simon (Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA/Santa Cruz Cooperative School) as he tallied a round of 128 to finish tied for eighth.

Playing as individuals were freshmen Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) and Aubrey Baumler (Huron) as they had rounds of 122 and 124 respectively.

BW closes out its spring break trip to the Sunshine State on Thursday, March 8 when it hosts a dual match against Trine (Ind.) University at the River Greens Golf Course in Avon Park, Florida.
