Women’s Golf Finishes Eighth at OAC Fall Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed eighth at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course 

BW was eighth of nine teams with a two-day total of 791 strokes on the par-72 and 5,900-yard River Greens layout.  Mount Union was the team champion with 700 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Erinn Maynard (New London) posted rounds of 101 and 96 for a two-day total of 107. Sophomore Hannah Durst (Madison) carded rounds of 100 and 97 for a two-round total of 197.  Sophomore Emily Hunt (Marysville) fired rounds of 95 and 103 for a two-day total of 198. Freshman Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) shot rounds of 100 and 99 for a two-round total of 199. Rounding out the top five was freshman Rachel Lyons (Gray, Ga./Jones County) as she had rounds of 102 and 105 for a two-day total of 207.

Playing as individuals were graduate student Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) and freshmen Aubrey Baumler (Huron), Danielle Randle (Chicago, Ill./Lindblom Math & Science Academy) and Maria Simon (Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA/Santa Cruz Cooperative School).  Gannon shot rounds of 103 and a season-best 100 for a two-round total of 203.   Randle posted rounds of 114 and a career-best tying 110 for a two-round total of 224. Simon carded rounds of 104 and 124 for a two-day total of 228. Baumler had rounds of 122 and 114 for a two-day total of 236.

BW closes out the fall portion on Saturday and Sunday, October 7-8 when it travels to Wooster to compete in the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Memorial hosted by The College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club.
