Women’s Golf Finishes 10th at Allegheny (Pa.) Fall Invitational

MEADVILLE, Pa.  -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in 10th place the Allegheny (Pa.) College Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Meadville. 

BW was 10th of 11 teams with a two-day total of 776 strokes on the par-73 and 5,803-yard Meadville layout.  NCAA Division II Mercyhurst (Pa.) College was the team champion with 642 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Emily Hunt (Marysville) as she carded rounds of 97 and a 90 for a two-round total of 187. Junior Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) had rounds of 99 and 92 for a two-day total of 191. Junior Erinn Maynard (New London) she shot rounds of 96 and 102 for a two-day total of 198.  Sophomore Hannah Durst (Madison) posted two rounds of 100 for a two-round total of 200.  Rounding out the top five was freshman Danielle Randle (Chicago, Ill./Lindblom Math & Science Academy) finished with rounds of 126 and 116 for a two-day total of 242.

Playing as individual, freshman Maria Simon (Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA/Santa Cruz Cooperative School) tallied rounds of 119 and 115 for a two-round total of 234.

BW is back in action on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 when it travels to West Lafayette, to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.
