Women’s Golf Wraps Up 2016-2017 Campaign at OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio  The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team wrapped up its 2016-2017 season with a sixth place finish at the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union on the River Greens Golf Course.

BW is in sixth of six teams with a team score of 1,098 on the par-72 4,757 yard course. The University of Mount Union won the OAC Championship with a final score of 1,015.

Freshman Allison Mills (Dover) led the way again for the Yellow Jackets as she shot a final round score of 84 for a total score of 259 which was good enough for a sixth place finish. For her efforts, Mills earned All-OAC honors.

In addition to Mills, sophomore Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y./ Skaneateles) and freshman Alexis Wilkinson (Dover) each shot a career-best rounds of 86 today. Magee finished the three-day invitational with a combined score of 270 strokes and Wilkinson carded a three-day total of 271 strokes.

Also, sophomore Erinn Maynard (New London) and freshman Hannah Durst (Madison) recorded rounds of 98 on the final day. Maynard combined for a score of 302 strokes and Durst finished with a total of 312. 

For the season, Mills played in 16 rounds of 18 holes during the 2016 fall and 2017 spring seasons and led the team with an 87.94 stroke average. She had a career-best round of 79. Magee ranked second at 94.81 and Wilkinson was third at 95.25. You can view all of the final seasons statistics HERE.
