Women’s Golf Team Stands Seventh After First Day of OAC Tourney

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio-- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team stands seventh after the first of the three-day and 54-hole Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament at the River Greens Golf Club. The second day of competition is tomorrow and the final day is on Sunday. The winner of the OAC Tournament advances to the 2016 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

The Yellow Jackets carded 389 strokes on the par-72 and 5,900-yard River Greens G.C. layout to stand seventh of eight teams.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC student-athlete Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/ South) with  a 92. She was followed by senior Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) with a 96, freshman Madison Trenkamp (Villa Hills, Ky. / Villa Madonna Academy) with a 98, freshman teammate Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) with a 103 and junior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind./ Park Tudor) with a 117.
