BW Women’s Golfers Compete Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational

WOOSTER, Ohio --  A trio of Baldwin Wallace University women's golfers played at this week's The College of Wooster Eva Shorb Weiskopf Fall Invitational Tournament at the Wooster Country Club. It was the third fall tournament of the season for the Yellow Jackets.

BW was led by the duo of junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC student-athlete Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/South) and freshman Karly Alexander (Hinckley/ Medina Highland).

Vidmar, playing in her first fall tourney, carded rounds of 87 and 94 for a 181-stroke total to place in a tie for 22nd overall of 47 total players. Alexander matched her with rounds of 88 and 93 for a 181-stroke total to place 22nd on the par-72 and 5,802 Wooster C.C. layout.

In addition, junior Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) had rounds of 114 and 108 for a 36-hole total of 222 strokes to place 45th overall.

The Yellow Jackets will end the fall portion of their schedule this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 4-5 when they travel to Alliance to compete at the 36-hole University of Mount Union Fall Invitational Tournament at the Tannenhauf Golf Course.
