Edwards of Women’s Basketball Selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Team for Second Time in Career

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior All-American and Academic All-OAC forward Lilly Edwards (Dublin/Coffman) of the No. 10 nationally-ranked Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 7 team for the second consecutive year. 

This season, Edwards has notched 332 points, averaging the most per game in the Ohio Athletic Conference at 15.8. Edwards also leads the team with an average of 8.7 rebounds per game, which is good for second in the OAC. She notched her career high earlier in the year in a non-conference contest against La Roche (Pa.) University as she posted 29 points. Edwards has also totaled 35 assists and 22 steals.

Edwards carries a 3.783 grade point average as an exercise science major. Edwards is also a Dean's List student, a Jacket scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Honor Society.

In her career, Edwards averages 13.27 points per game, 7.44 rebounds per game, and has tallied 1,194 total points. Edwards lands on the all-time BW top-10 career leaders' lists for total points, points per game, rebounds (670), rebounds per game, field goals made (460), field goals attempted (939), free throws made (273), free throws attempted (355), and is in the top-15 in field goal percentage (48.99) and free throw percentage (76.04).

BW returns to play Saturday, February 19 as it competes in the first game of a women's and men's doubleheader against the Capital University Comets. Edwards and other seniors will be honored before the game begins. Tip-off for Seniors' Day is set for 2 p.m. in Urpsrung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
