Women's Basketball Earns Ninth WBCA Academic Top-25 Award

ATLANTA, Ga. -- For the ninth time in school-history, the Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has received the Women's Basketball Coaches Assosciation (WBCA) Academic Top-25 Award.

The award which is in its 25th year, honors the top 25 academic teams in NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year colleges.

Under the guidance of Veteran Head Coach Cheri Harrer, BW finished the 2019-20 with a 3.757 GPA and was the lone Ohio Athletic Conference team to be named to the Academic Top-25.  The Yellow Jackets landed in fifth, which was the highest in school-history.

BW finished fifth in the final 2019-20 D3hoops.com National Poll and tied for its best record in program-history with a 28-2 mark.  The Yellow Jackets, who swept both the OAC regular season and tournament titles for the first time since the 2007-08 season, advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament Sweet 16 before the season was canceled due to COVID-19
