BEREA, Ohio --
The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team is one of the best in NCAA Division III almost every season, and this season will be no different.  Head Coach Cheri Harrer enters her 26th season with 510 career wins and her team ranked 25th in the D3hoops.com Division III Preseason Top-25 poll and listed among the "Others Receiving Votes" in the WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association)/ USA Today poll.

The Yellow Jackets, 22-7 overall and 14-4 in the rugged Ohio Athletic Conference a year ago, return 11 letter winners, nine members of its "rotation" and three starters from a team that won the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament title and advanced to the Division III National Tournament for the 13th time in Harrer's career.

"We appreciate the confidence and ranking that the members of the selection committees gave us, but ultimately we know that success occurs both in practice and in games," said Harrer, who has a 510-186 career mark and has led her team to eight OAC regular season titles and six OAC Tournament crowns.

Harrer's teams have 22 straight seasons with 15 or more wins and 14 of 20 or more. BW has advanced to four NCAA Tournament "Elite 8's" and to five "Sweet 16's".

"Every year, our goals are to win the OAC regular season and OAC Tournament titles, advance to the NCAA tourney and win a Division III national title, have a great culture that promotes academics and have a lot of fun," continued Harrer. "We are looking forward to playing games and the challenges ahead."

The Yellow Jackets open the 2015-2016 season on Tuesday, November 17 when they host cross-town rival Case Western Reserve University in the first game of a women's and men's non-conference doubleheader at 6 p.m.
