WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University softball team has been picked to finish fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll.

BW, who went 22-16 and 19-15 in league play in 2021, received 62 points and one first place vote.  Muskingum University, who won tournament title a year ago, was picked first with 78 points and two first place votes.  Ohio Northern University was tabbed in the third spot with 72 points and three place votes.  The University of Mount Union, who was the regular season champion, was selected as third with 68 points and four first place votes.  Rounding out the top five was Marietta College with 38 points.

Yellow Jacket veteran head coach Tom Spencer returns 12 letterwinners, the Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, four All-Ohio Athletic Conference players and three Academic All-OAC performers.

BW opens the 2022 campaign as it travels to the Tucson, Arizona as it will play 10 games in five days at Tucson Invitational Games at the Lincoln Park.  OAC play opens at home on March 26 with a doubleheader against Wilmington College.
