Three Yellow Jackets Named to 2010 Academic All-OAC Softball Team
May 24, 2010BEREA, OHIO -- Three standout Baldwin-Wallace College student-athletes, senior third baseman Megan Coyne (Brunswick/ LaGrange Keystone), junior catcher Tanya Davis (Hinckley/ Medina Highland) and junior first baseman Katrina Resek (Strongsville), have been named to the 2010 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Softball Team. The trio helped BW to a 23-17 overall record this spring.

Davis now qualifies for the National ESPN The MagazineAcademic All-America ballot. She is a repeat first-team academic all-district honoree.

Records Fall as B-W Softball Team Sweeps OAC Foe Wilmington in Wilmington
April 29, 2010BEREA, OHIO-- The Baldwin-Wallace College softball team swept an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader from host Wilmington College, 9-4 in 14 innings and 2-1, today (Thursday, April 29, 2010) in Wilmington as the Yellow Jackets ran their win streak to four games. In addition, a number of seasonal-records were set and B-W put itself in position of claiming its first OAC Postseason Tournament berth since 2004.

The Yellow Jackets lost a heartbreaker, 4-3, in the opener, but rebounded to overcome a 2-0 deficit and win the second game, 8-2.

The Yellow Jackets defeated Viterbo, 4-3, in a make-up game.

March 09, 2010BEREA, OHIO-- The Baldwin-Wallace College softball team evened its record at 2-2 today (Tuesday, March 9) with a pair of victories at the annual Tucson Invitational in Tucson, Arizona. In the first game, B-W defeated Northwestern (Iowa) University, 6-3, and then beat the College of St. Mary from Nebraska, 10-2, in a game called after five innings due to the eight-run rule.
