BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College sophomore catcher Tanya Davis (Hinckley/ Medina Highland) has been named to the 2009 Softball Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. Davis was also tabbed as an ESPN THE MAGAZINEAcademic All-District IV selection earlier this spring and is a candidate for Academic All-America consideration.
Davis is a pre-physical therapy/exercise science major who carries a 3.88 grade-point-average. She batted .382 with three homeruns and 39 runs batted-in this season and led the Yellow Jackets with 16 doubles and 40 runs scored.
Prior to the season, she was named a Division III Softball Newsletter Preseason All-American after earning first-team All-OAC and first-team All-Central Region honors in 2008.
