Men’s Cross Country Starts off the 2021 Season at Unscored Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team began the 2021 season in the annual College of Wooster Invitational on the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.

BW was led in the 4K event by freshmen freshmen Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) as he placed 16th in a time of 22:40.7 in his collegiate debut. Sophomore Nick Dascani (Toledo / Springfield), making his collegiate running debut, finished in 25th place with a final time of 23:13.0. Dascani was followed by freshmen teammate Alex Yarian (East Canton), who came in 28th place with a time of 23:15.8.

Rounding out the top five runners for the Yellow Jackets were freshmen Carter Almady (Brunswick) and Jackson Tucker (Akron / Lake Center), who ran for 31st and 37th place, respectively. Almady had a final time of 23:18.2 and Tucker completed the race in 23:45.3 in their first-ever college performances. 

BW will return to the racecourse on Saturday, September 11, to compete in the Wittenberg Invitational at the Clark County Fairgrounds; Springfield, Ohio.
