Men’s Cross Country Places 22nd at Inter-Regional Rumble

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team placed 22nd at the annual Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College on the Oberlin Cross Country Course.

BW finished 22nd of 35 teams with a total of 703 points.  John Carroll University was the champion with 60 points. 

The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Carter Almady (Brunswick) as he crossed the finish line in 134th place in a time of 28:11.0.  Freshman Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg/Benedictine) finished in 165th place in a time of 28:30.2.  Sophomore Nick Dascani (Toledo/Springfield) was 169th in a time of 28:35.4.  Freshman Alex Yarian (East Canton) finished in 179th place in a time of 28:44.7 Closing out the team scoring was freshman Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) as he was 193rd in a time of 29:00.8.

Also competing in the 8k race were freshman Robert Bolen (Mansfield/Ontario) and freshman Matthew Perry (Mentor).  Bolen finished in 211th place in a time of 29:19.5 and Perry was 236th in a time of 29:57.4

BW is back in action on Saturday, October 30 when it travels to Wilmington to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by Wilmington College.  

The NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regionals will be run on Saturday, November 13 at the Blue River Park in Shelbyville, Indiana.
