Men’s Cross Country Finishes 38th at the 47th Lehigh Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -  The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team competed in the Lehigh Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University (Pa.) at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. 

BW competed in the Brown Race, which featured an eight-kilometer racecourse. The Brown Race was considered an open of institutions ranging across all collegiate divisions. 

In the Brown Race, the Yellow Jackets managed to place 38th out of 41 teams, scoring 1133 points. There were a total of 340 runners in the Brown Race. Southern Connecticut State University (Ct.) took home the team title with 90 points. 

Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets was freshmen Carter Almady (Brunswick) as he placed 225th in the 8k event at 27:32.1. Freshman Alex Yarian (East Canton) ran a 27:41.3 to finish in 244th place. Freshman Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) finished in 273th in a time of 28:10.0. Sophomore Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Nick Dascani (Toledo / Springfield) finished in 276th place in 28:14.5. Rounding out the top five was freshmen Connor Foody with a time of 28:19.3 in 279th place.

BW will return to the course on Saturday, October 16th when it travels to Oberlin to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble on Oberlin College Cross Country Course; hosted by Oberlin College.
