Wilson Earns First Career OAC Weekly Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Sophomore Isaac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the first time in his career.

Wilson won his first individual title at the Hornet Harrier Invitational, hosted by Shenandoah (Va.) University at Kernstown Battfield, where he led the Yellow Jackets to a first place finish out of 13 teams. In the men's 6k event that featured 117 runners, the sophomore ran a time of 19:34.2, finishing 14.1 seconds ahead of the second-place runner.

In all three of the Yellow Jackets meets this season, Wilson has been the top finisher, finishing third and ninth at the College of Wooster Invitational and the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational.

BW will look to Wilson to lead the Yellow Jackets once again when it next competes in the All-Ohio Championships at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville on Friday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m.
