Men's Cross Country Takes 16th at the Purple Valley Classic

WILLIAMSPORT, Mass. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team finished 16th at the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams College at Mount Greylock High School.

The classic featured nine teams ranked in the top-25 nationally.  This marked the first time that BW has competed in the meet.

BW was 16th of 23 teams with 475 points.  Number two-nationally ranked Geneseo State (N.Y.) University was the champion with 48 points.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Evan Milovich (Westlake) as he finished 110th of 284 runners in a season-best 8k time of 27:32.5.  Freshman Issac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) was 137th in a career-best 8k time of 27:57.8.   Freshman Shane Thatcher (Huron) finished 162nd in a career-best 8k time of 28:21.6.

BW is back in action on Friday, September 30 when it travels to Cedarville to compete in the All-Ohio Division III Championships hosted by Cedarville University on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course at 2 p.m.
