Men's Cross Country Finishes Ninth at All-Ohio Championships

CEDARVILLE, Ohio. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team finished ninth at the annual All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville University on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.

The All-Ohio Championships consist of colleges and universities from NCAA Division I, II and III as well as NAIA and Junior College institutions.   The top-35 runners in each divisional race earn All-Ohio accolades.

BW finished ninth of 16 Division III teams with 212 points. and were 22nd of 40 total teams.   The University of Mount Union was the Division III Champion with 60 points. 

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Evan Milovich (Westlake), who earned his first All-Ohio honor, as he finished 13th of 114 Division III runners and was 71st of 287 total runners as he crossed the finish line in a season-best 8k time of 26:41.0.  Sophomore Spencer Mahon (North Royalton) placed 45th in the Division III race and finished 130th overall in a career-best 8K time of 27:43.9.  Freshman Issac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) took 48th among Division III runners and was 136th in a career-best 8k time of 27:50.0.   Freshman Nick Irwin (Westlake) crossed the line in the Division III race at 52nd and was 142nd overall in a career-best 8K time of 27:53.3. Freshman Shane Thatcher (Huron) finished 54th among Division III runners and was 150th overall in a career-best 8K time of 28:08.3.

BW is back in action on Saturday, October 15 when it travels to nearby Oberlin to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College at 10:30 a.m.
