Yellow Jacket Men's Cross Country Team Opens Season at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2014 season by competing at the non-scored College of Wooster Invitational at the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.
 
In addition to BW and Wooster, the teams competing were Franciscan University, Hiram College, Lorain County Community College Point Park (Pa.) University and Oberlin College.   The men's teams ran either in the 4-mile run or 5k and the women's ran either a 4k or 5k.
 
Senior Greg Blevins (Mentor) led the BW men as he finished second in the 4-mile with a career-best time of 21:15.8. Sophomore Brian Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) was sixth in a time of 22:01.4
 
Freshman Brady Jeffers (South Amherst/Firelands) took sixth in the 5k as he crossed the finish line in a time of 17:16.1.  Freshman Evan Milkovich (Westlake) placed eighth in a time of 17:36.2 and freshman Justin Swords (Brunswick) was 14th in a time of 18:09.3.
 
The Yellow Jackets next travel to Delaware to compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, September 6 at 11:15 a.m.
